Dave kicks us off with some notes about emerging technologies and how soon we might be able to find business opportunities.
Ryan posits that the term “Managed Service Provider” isn’t useful to customers. And of course that leads to a discussion of “cloud” and the use of terminology over time.
There follows a detailed discussion of the pros and cons and possibilities for using the term MSP going forward.
. . . and then we jump down the rabbit hole of “Is MSSP a useful term?” To be honest, it was hard to get the question out before the chuckling started.
Mild side track: Is the question of security important if there are no actual consequences for screwing up?
Finally, of course, we loop back to emerging technology and how we need to describe our value proposition going forward. Some days it’s all about the terminology!
